OUR REGIONS

Fredericksburg, Virginia

The Fredericksburg Region membership is drawn from central Virginia between Alexandria and Richmond, although some of us live in Arlington, Warrenton and Williamsburg. Like most chapters, Fredericksburg meets twice a year; once in the Spring and then on Jane Austen's birthday (December 16th). Generally, our meetings are well attended and our discussions spirited.

Celebrating Our Twentieth Year

Who we are. JASNA-DC membership covers both Virginia and Maryland suburbs close to Washington D.C. Like most regions, we meet twice a year; once in the Spring and then as close as possible to Jane Austen's birthday (December 16th). Our meetings are usually well attended because we are able to draw speakers from several large universities, including Georgetown, George Washington and George Mason. Several of our members have formed active discussion groups which meet in members' homes on a regular basis.

Our programs have included group discussions on a topic presented by one of our members, outside speakers, movie viewing, and an annual Jane Austen trivia contest.
